Together with our recently acquired outsourcing commitments, our sustained growth has driven the consolidation of a new asset in our services portfolio. Together with Nederval, the developer and tenant of logistics warehouses, we have added 15,000 square metres of new facilities.
Located in the Valencia Logistics Park (PLV), the new surface area joins the existing ones, which has allowed us to reach 40,000 square metres of warehouse space.
The extension of the facilities dedicated to this service - the surface area of which has been increased by 37,5% - reinforces our commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and ensuring the comfort of its occupants through the BREEAM Excellent seal.
With this standard, In Side Logistics offers our customers modern and efficient facilities, in line with the company's mission to prepare logistics for the needs of the near future.
In relation to the characteristics of the asset, the building stands out for its height of 13.70 metres, with a light DECK type roof, 24 automatic loading bays, ventilation control system, maximum fire control, floor without retraction joints and certified FM1 planimetry, with offices of maximum comfort for the worker.
In addition, the building has a zero energy balance. In this sense, it includes a photovoltaic installation for self-consumption; monitoring of water use; collection of rainwater in its own tanks, which allows it to be used for watering green areas, irrigation and other industrial uses; and charging areas for electric cars.
According to our CEO, Xabier Azarloza, "the collaboration with Nederval has been extremely important for us, as they are always evolving and listening to the market to improve and modernise their facilities and thus adapt to the new times, which is our obsession and what we work on from different aspects of our services".
In this way, to operational analysis - through the technical department -, technological tools - through its IT company -, the most efficient modes of transport or new formulas - such as the train or the electric lorry -, facilities are added to the which, like the other aspects, enable the group to guarantee maximum efficiency for the entire process.
Aware that the near future will see the introduction of more efficient modes of transport, such as electric or hydrogen trucks, these new facilities will have their own transformation centre to guarantee charging capacity for a future increase in the electric fleet.
"Preparing with structures that guarantee supply is essential, as a clear limitation of the new technologies is the load structures, and at low voltage it is impossible to have sufficient supply. In addition, the collection of rainwater in our own tanks and solar panels will also allow us to potentially generate hydrolysis to have green hydrogen, and all without using up any resources other than the sun and the rainwater that falls on our roof", Azarloza stresses.
For his part, Vicente Morata, Nederval's commercial and expansion director, underlined the satisfaction that "In Side Logistics continues to count on us as a logistics supplier once again. We have been working together for more than 12 years and it is clear that we have the same objectives of improving and being at the forefront of logistics, each in our own field".
