Because we are who we are thanks to each and every one of the members who have been and are part of our company. That is why the departure of two of our veterans, <strong>Doris Vicent, from the HR department<\/strong> , y <strong>Mariena, Head of Customs<\/strong>, has not gone unnoticed by us.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are both starting a new and important chapter, retirement, and the whole team has pulled out all the stops to commemorate the years they have dedicated to In Side Logistics. On Friday the 8th we organised a farewell where <strong>Xabier Azarloza<\/strong>, CEO of ISL, stated that \u201cit is a source of pride for In Side Logistics and the VASCO group to have such committed people, because that makes us a family\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0Doris and Mariena, after 15 and 17 years at ISL, are taking away \u201cgood friendships, great people, and a lot of learning\u201d. Furthermore, they leave behind for the company's following generations a huge legacy and unforgettable lessons about companionship, good humour, and responsibility.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The great evolution of the sector&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking back, they can see that the sector has changed and improved a lot over their years at In Side Logistics, particularly regarding process automation, adherence to safety protocols, and employee well-being.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the time these two colleagues have worked at ISL, they have seen the company evolve to become a leader in its sector. \u201cAbsolute volumes have grown,\u201d stated Doris. On the other hand, Mariena pointed out that \u201cIn Side Logistics has changed a lot from a logistical and technical perspective,\u201d as it has adapted to the technological innovations that have emerged in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also claim that the role of women in the logistics and transport sector has changed, with them being more valued now. According to Doris, \u201cthere are more and more women trained in operations, and furthermore, ISL is preparing a plan for equality\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doris also told us about her experience within the Commercial department and, when she moved, within Human Resources. \u201dFlexibility and human values have accompanied us throughout all these years and are the ISL objectives that I have valued the most,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding the profiles required by ISL, Doris stated that \u201cthey are now more varied, more professional, and academically prepared.\u201d The keys to retaining this new talent, she pointed out, are \u201coffering good salary conditions, valuing the team humanely, and recognising their effort and achievements.\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Mariena's perspective as Head of Customs, \u201cCustoms management at ISL has been computerised year on year and has been delivered to EU customs.\u201d On the other hand, she highlighted that when In Side Logistics achieved the status of Authorised Economic Operator, \u201cthe company took a huge leap and gained business recognition, as well as achieving an enormous economic advantage and agility for customs procedures.\".&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, both believe that the logistics sector will continue to grow and, furthermore, will do so digitally.
