What is ISL's DNA made up of?

At In Side Logistics we believe that a better supply chain is possible and, convinced of this, we carry in our DNA the seed that will revolutionise the industry. Our involvement, professionalism, proximity, flexibility, quality and credibility define us.

Our membership of the VASCO Group and its 50 years of experience in the sector have given us a broad vision of its state of the art, putting the most valuable lessons in black and white. And, why deny it, also the unfinished business that we must overcome if we want to be an industry that, as our slogan says, is 'ready for your future'.

Aware of the challenge, In Side Logistics has taken up this challenge from the outset, wanting to be not only a witness to change, but also the driving force behind it.

Commitment at its best

In any business, commitment is a crucial element. Striving to understand the needs of customers and working closely with them is the only way to provide high quality, customised logistics solutions.

However, this understanding of commitment often proves to be insufficient.

Engagement must be as broad and diverse as the companies, communities, environments and people an activity encompasses. Therefore, we build on this common basis a new meaning where the 4 components that make up ISL's DNA come into play.

Proximity

The supply chain is a hyper-atomised and extensive sector by definition. Hundreds of millions of people are in charge of keeping its mechanisms running day after day, often sacrificing the most human side of our activity in the pursuit of efficiency: proximity.

However, we are aware that the efficiency of operations and processes is not at odds with the human touch, even in an increasingly automated and digitalised sector, and we offer everything that operations management needs from our facilities.

We are not only talking about comprehensive warehousing, collection and delivery services, as well as customs clearance and consultancy, we are talking about building long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers, building trust and strengthening supply chains.

Persons

A crucial element in sustaining this essential value for ISL is, precisely, people. Our commitment, both internally to our teams and externally to our suppliers and customers, is a constant that defines us and guides the way we work on a daily basis.

As our general manager, Xabier Azarloza, points out, as companies it is important to be aware of our impact on the development of societies. "In an increasingly globalised world, we are committed to generating a positive and sustainable impact on people".

Therefore, following the framework set by the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda, we are adopting measures to make progress in this regard, such as in the field of equal opportunities and occupational health and safety, as set out in our first sustainability report.

Planet

This document also sets out our environmental pillars in line with SDGs 11, 12 and 13. Our goal is set: we are working to build sustainable cities and communities, with responsible production and consumption accompanied by actions to combat climate change and its effects.

We understand that climate neutrality is a necessity in order to curb the current emergency that the planet is suffering. For this reason, we strive to know our carbon footprint, reduce our emissions, commit to renewable energies and compensate for the emissions that we cannot reduce. We have offset 8 tonnes of CO2 in the last two years through reforestation projects in Gátova and Hoces del Cabriel.

Our sustainable action plan, the result of a joint effort with our collaborators, has received the LEAN & GREEN award, an initiative coordinated by AECOC in Spain.

Innovation

We believe in knowledge, innovation and technology as drivers of change. That is why we have an in-house technology team that implements and studies each of the chain's processes to achieve continuous improvement, developing apps and control software such as Tookane.

Together, these four links give shape and meaning to our mission: to be the logistics partner that provides integrated value-added solutions, adapted to each operation, based on respect, commitment and, above all, responsibility.

How to improve the supply chain

In a context where operating costs are rising and the pressure to gain efficiency is constant, many companies associate improving the supply chain
