In Side Logistics The year has started with very positive data and big projects to tackle during 2021, but focusing especially on continuing to enhance its value proposition for the Canary Islands, a particular market that needs optimisation of operations and technology to respond to the real challenges presented by the possibility of doing business, especially e-commerce, within the region and with the mainland.

The usual cases in this market and its problems revolve around the fact that many companies give up selling in the Canary Islands and vice versa. This situation does not promote trade and eliminates opportunities on both sides of this market, with logistics being the main drawback.

Understanding this, In Side Logistics has continued to innovate, grow and leverage its strengths and knowledge of the Canarian environment to provide the competitive advantage it needs to respond to market demand.

Thus, the logistics operator confirms that this will be a particularly important year for its Canarias delegation, as it will receive special attention from senior management, investing in resources, sustainability and technology to position itself as the logistics leader in the area, especially in e-commerce.

In particular, In Side Logistics, which it already works integrating with Marketplaces Like Aliexpress, eBay, Amazon or Mano Mano, it has a 7,000 m² warehouse in Tenerife with a capacity for 7,500 pallet locations in racking and 10 loading docks, and another in Las Palmas of 3,500 m², for logistical operations of 4,500 pallets in racking, handling around 200,000 orders per year.

With over 10 years of work in Las Palmas and Tenerife that have established them as a leading logistics operator throughout the Canary Islands region, the firm is taking another step forward, focusing its efforts on improving technological contributions with increased investment in both its WMS and distribution software. This will allow for the extraction of more metrics to aid decision-making and focus on the end customer's experience.

“We have managed to reduce stock levels by 50% for some customers and have virtually eliminated obsolete stock,” says Xabier Azarloza, CEO of In Side Logistics.

In the same vein, Zebensuy Taima Acosta, director for the Canary Islands and the Caribbean, assures that “we want to continue fostering intra-island and Canary Islands trade, improve our figures this year, and we will do so hand-in-hand with technology”. While adding that “we have placed the customer at the centre and give them the option of even knowing the degree of satisfaction of the end consumer thanks to the use of” Tookane, the most comprehensive global order management software.
