Zebenzuy Taima: “We take on the comprehensive management of the logistics chain, guided by principles of efficiency, flexibility and continuous improvement”.

The project developed in the Canary Islands is particularly noteworthy, where geographical and operational complexity has led In Side Logistics, as a logistics partner, to implement comprehensive solutions combining warehousing, picking operations and transport services, including home deliveries and assembly across all the islands. This operation has become a laboratory for innovation for the company.

Today, In Side Logistics is embarking on a new phase of growth focused on optimising its operations, incorporating technology into warehousing and transport, and progressively reducing the environmental impact of its activities. A clear roadmap aimed at supporting its clients in the continuous improvement of their logistics chain, transforming operational complexity into added value.

When done right, logistics outsourcing allows our clients to focus on their core business whilst we take on the comprehensive management of the logistics chain, guided by principles of efficiency, flexibility and continuous improvement. For this model to work, technology is key, as it enables us to maintain real-time visibility, anticipate issues and make data-driven decisions – something essential in complex and ever-changing environments. At In Side Logistics, we do not offer standard solutions. We analyse every operation, every flow and every market to design a bespoke model. This approach has enabled us to grow steadily in areas as diverse as the Canary Islands, Valencia and Algeciras.

At In Side Logistics, we don’t offer off-the-shelf solutions. We analyse every operation, every workflow and every market to design a bespoke model. This approach has enabled us to achieve sustained growth in areas as diverse as the Canary Islands, Valencia and Algeciras.

If we’re talking about a project that embodies this philosophy, the Canary Islands seem to be a prime example. What makes your operations there so special?

The Canary Islands are, without a doubt, one of our most representative projects. Operating in a fragmented territory, with several islands, specific fiscal arrangements and high demands for the final service, requires a deep understanding of the environment.

The Canary Islands is undoubtedly one of our most representative projects. Operating in a fragmented region comprising several islands, with specific tax regulations and high standards for the end service, requires an in-depth understanding of the local environment. There, we do not merely outsource warehousing or transport; we also develop dedicated end-to-end operations. We manage warehousing, picking, inter-island transport, home deliveries and, in many cases, assembly services at the destination. Furthermore, we are a leading operator in particularly demanding sectors such as HoReCa and Pharmaceuticals, where reliability, traceability and adherence to deadlines are critical.

How does that complexity translate into day-to-day operations?

This translates into planning, technology and people. In the Canary Islands, we work with dedicated fleets, optimised routes and teams specifically trained for this type of service.

Each island has its own specific characteristics, and a delivery in Gran Canaria cannot be managed in the same way as one in La Palma. Furthermore, the end customer is particularly sensitive to delivery times and service quality, which is why we take great care with the last mile. Our aim is for the customer to see logistics as a competitive advantage, not as a problem.

The Canary Islands is one of our flagship projects: an innovation laboratory where we manage logistics from start to finish in a highly complex environment.

You mentioned picking operations. What role do they play in your outsourcing projects?

Picking is a key process, particularly for customers with a high turnover of stock items or very specific order-picking requirements. In our warehouses, we have invested heavily in improving picking processes, combining technology, an efficient layout and staff training.

It's not just about preparing orders quickly, but about doing it well, with traceability and minimising errors. Good picking directly impacts final customer satisfaction and operational costs.

Technology seems to be a cross-cutting factor. How are you applying it in warehouses and transport?

Technology is a key driver of continuous improvement. In our warehouses, we use management systems that give us a complete overview of stock levels, enable us to monitor timescales and analyse data to optimise processes.

In the transport sector, we use real-time tracking tools, route planning and delivery management. None of this replaces people, but it does give them better tools to make decisions and anticipate issues.
